Reviewing: Thin Air by Rachel Caine

It’s no secret, I am completely obsessed with the Weather Warden series. Rachel Caine is brillant at creating a fantasy world within our own and intertwining real science with make believe.  If I had to pick my favorite fictional character, I would easily say Joanne Baldwin.  She kicks ass.  Plain and simple. After the ending [...]

Update

So sorry I’ve fallen off the side of the earth for a while.  So what have I been doing? Celebrating beating NaNoWriMo! Yep that is right, I wrote 50,000 words in one month.  It needs a lot of editting but I like what I came up with.  I think it is a very good base [...]

Don’t you hate

When you are reading a good book but you pick up another you are dying to start reading immedinately. Almost done with Chill Factor by Rachel Caine.  So good. But I picked up Virals by Kathy Reichs today and I can’t wait to start it.

Awesome advice to writers!

So I just got home from seeing Rachel Caine.  I’ll write more in depth later but wanted to paraphrase something she said tonight so I don’t forget. This is probably one of the best inspirational things I’ve heard for aspiring writers…. In that arts you can’t fail, only quit. So completely true and definately gave [...]

Reviewing Glass House & The Dead Girl’s Dance by Rachel Caine

I’m going to try to make this a quite review. So since Rachel Caine is due to be in Portland the end of October, touring for the newest book in The Morganville Vampires series, I decided to pick up all the books and attempt to get through them all before the new one.  There is currently [...]

Quoting/Reviewing Heat Stroke by Rachel Caine

Alright so a few days ago I finished reading Heat Stroke.  Just like I suspected, it was better than Ill Wind.  Much more action and drama that kept me turning the pages.  I’m excited to read the rest of the series. I also ended up looking up what a Djinn was. Basically Djinn is another word for [...]

Quoting Ill Wind by Rachel Caine

So I finally caved and started reading the Weather Warden series by Rachel Caine.  They have sounded interesting to me for a while but I was trying  to get through some other series first. Ill Weather was an okay novel.  There was a lot of just getting from one place to another.  Even more than [...]
