Book chit chat
Has anyone else checked out this site?
So the idea seems to be you can chat about the book as you read it. You click on paragraphs and then you can read and make comments about them.
First off, I think I would go completely insane trying to read a book on screen. It would make my eyes hurt way too bad. They should at least consider making it so it isn’t so stark white.
Honestly, I don’t think I completely get it. It seems like a lot of effort in reading a book and that is what you do in college. I get that it is enjoyable to sit and look critically at a book but this just seems like it is too far.
It seems also like something that college students would use to cheat off of. I’m sorry but I don’t feel like spending hours thinking and writing about something to have some lazy student google search it then repeat it in class and get all the credit.
It is also giving away books for free pretty much. Another blow to authors and publishers that need money to survive and thrive.
What do you think? Have you used the site?
Sorry this is so short and if there is any writing mistakes. I have a huge migraine so am going to bed but wanted to make sure and stick to my post a day goal.
